An old favourite
By Megan Goodacre

Every now and then, I'll see a flurry of interest in an older pattern, and I'll know that someone has posted about it on Ravelry or linked to it from their site.
Sweet Oak, one of my first cardigan patterns, and one my personal favourites, is getting a little attention today, hurrah! Elann, a Canadian yarn retailer, has quite a few really great yarns under their own label. Peruvian Sierra Aran is one of them.
It's a richly coloured wool/alpaca heather in a fast-knitting aran weight. Elann has put together packs for the Sweet Oak cardigan, priced at $36 - $51 per pack (depending on the size you're making).
That works out to $3 per ball. Such a fantastic deal. Maybe I do need more yarn... No, stop that. Nasty hobbitses trying to trick me.
And if you want to knit Sweet Oak in one colour (instead of using a contrast colour for the edges), you can choose from their lovely palette of fall colours at only $3.25 per ball.
I used Peruvian Sierra Aran in the England Avenue Cardigan too, in colour Fiddlehead.
