Another sneak peek at Clairette
By Megan Goodacre

Clairette will be ready any moment. Another quick photo. The yarn is Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool, and it is a pretty incredible go-to yarn. Tweedy without being busy, silky without being heavy, blended without feeling artificial, and the yardage. 192 yards to 50 grams and it's DK. And so many colours to choose from. What's not to love? (No I haven't been paid to say this and bought the yarn with my own money.)
It's a very popular yarn, with over 11,000 stashes on Ravelry.
I was very fortunate to work with a wonderful sample knitter, Jan Malone (need2knit on ravelry) on Clairette. It's a bit surreal writing a pattern in full, visualizing it digitally, and then someone else knits it and sends it back to you. Surreal, but fabulous.
I love kniting, but repetitive stress in my hands and wrists means I have to take it easy. And by easy, I mean fewer than 40 sweaters a year, so don't worry, not too easy. I'm not sitting around eating bonbons all day. Or, well... Okay, but you know what I'm saying.
