Japanese Knitting Books

Japanese Knitting Books

Most of my posts about inspiration end up in the Yarn category, which isn't really fair to all the other kinds of inspiration. And of course, a lot of my moodboards and whatnot are over at Pinterest. I have recently started two boards called Pie and Cake because I'm pretty inspired to eat dessert too.

But in all seriousness, I wanted to mention Japanese knitting books again as one of my favourites. There are several out there that have (to my mind) an ideal blend of nostalgic and modern sensibilities. I bought three recently (more on that later) from Japan Lovely Crafts on Etsy. If you're into Japanese crafting books, check it out.

And what an excellent shopping experience. She sent me a lovely email right away that started "Hello Sweetie Megan". Yes, I know this is a Lost in Translation situation, but who doesn't like to be called Sweetie. And the books arrived relatively soon after ordering.
