Mystery Tidbit Part 1

Mystery Tidbit Part 1

Actually, some might argue that titbit is correct but that would make the children giggle, so...

The blogging has been a little sparse, I know. But that's only because I'm working feverishly on a very large, 100% knitting related, mystery project. It's consuming most of my waking minutes (and some of the non-waking ones too) but it's also a stupid amount of fun.

On a slightly related note, I wanted to ask, have you tried Knit Picks new(ish) yarns Galileo and Reverie? Quite fabulous. Galileo is a sport weight blend of viscose and merino, with fantastic stitch definition and drape. And really intense colours.

Firefly is my favourite; a saturated chartreuse. And Reverie, baby alpaca with 20% acrylic, almost has the feel of angora, but without being quite so fluffy. If there's too much fluff, you get little bits of it in stuck in your mascara or on your lip gloss when you put on a scarf, you know what I mean? Does this happen to anyone else?

Nice little outtake of some swatches, all in green. Matches the misty morning today. I swear there are at least 10 bald eagles and a big heron in the trees in front of my office right now. I wonder if there will be birds in Ottawa... Probably too cold. ;-)
