Notebook cover: full artwork
By Megan Goodacre

Have you checked out the new Tricksy Knitter notebooks? We're having a little too much fun with these little guys. I wanted to share the original artwork with you, and share the process a little.
One trick you learn, when reproducing your own drawings, is to start a little bigger and then shrink your work later. Everything will seem a little crisper, and small mistakes will disappear.
So the original drawing is on a 22 x 30 sheet of rag paper, done in mixed media (pencil, coloured pencil, pastel, and acrylic).
Then I scanned it, one section at a time, and then stitched together the scans together (very carefully) in Photoshop.
And then the fun part of doing some digital "painting" in Photoshop to get the colours and textures where I wanted them.
These guys are having a fibre-related adventure, and you get to write it!
