Robots on Planet Yarn

There seems to be a droidish theme today. I've been going through my stash, in a semi-annual attempt to organize and air out my yarn and samples. (You can see I'm up to greys and blues today). You become very aware of how much yarn you have when you have to transport it upstairs to the deck. Hmm.
Anyways, I wanted to share a couple of robot-themed items today. First, my Borsato Bot Tote, specially made by my friend Beth Borsato. He's a potato stamp with fine line ink drawing and I'm very lucky to have him. So lucky, that I'm trying to convince Beth to make some to sell right here on Tricksy Knitter. Yarn transportation and storage is a never-ending process.
I like my clear bins with sealing lids for long-term storage. The cute little basket for the sofa side table for TV knitting (we're on season 6 of Lost, this show is getting more and more deranged). The little satin drawstring bag that protects my knitting from the strange miscellaneous things I keep in my purse. And fabric tote bags.
Totes for when you're rushing out the door and know that you'll need knitting but haven't quite decided which project to work on, so you need an easy open-mouthed bag to jam 6 or 10 or 12 skeins into, plus a book and a couple of extra skeins because you never know you might get stranded somewhere.
Totes for when you're optimistic enough to think that you'll be casting on that new project soon and want to have easy access to the yarn but it's not quite ready for the TV basket.
And the other thing for show and tell is this awesome little guy: Robot 254-880. Makyta (which must be pronounced muh-KEE-tah for full effect) gave us gift certificates to a great company called My Robot Nation. You build your own robot in a user friendly browser interface and they print it on their 3D printer. This guy is little C's version. Note the rotating saw blade hand, axe, laser gun on forehead, and electrical socket on its butt.
