Sneak Peak! Free scarf pattern in development...
By Megan Goodacre

When you can't decide which yarn to use for a new project, just use two!
This free knitting pattern is coming soon, and is very tricksy. It uses slip-stitch cables (no cable needle required!) for a deceptively sophisticated-looking but easy-to-work pattern. And I'm double stranding this version with mercerized cotton and lace-weight silk/baby alpaca blend.
The rippled border is formed by easy garter stitch flares. And, if you want to make this a little more masculine, the pattern includes a ruffle-free modification. The pattern is also attractive on the reverse, an essential feature in a scarf.
