Are you coming to the Grey Heron knitting retreat next weekend? Here's a little peek at one of the mittens for the Exploring Colour class.
It has been fun getting back in to colour knitting. Way back in the 90s, do you remember how big colour knitting was? With Alice Starmore Fair Isle books and of course Kaffe Fassett. Switching colours every few rows is a great way to keep yourself motivated.
One little mitten, blocked, photographed in low light. Working in Rowan Fine Tweed. So many nice colours. I started with three. Then promptly bought about seven more. Addictive little tweedy things.

And working on some colour theory sheets. Here's a little taste:
