On Monday, Tricksy Knitter took a big step forward. I sent out a newsletter in honour of Malala Day, and pledged to give half of my pattern sales for two days to the Malala Fund.
It was exciting, but also a little scary. What if this was overstepping the bounds of a knitting newsletter? I decided that it felt right, so I went with my gut, and, wow.
You bought patterns, lots of patterns, and you emailed me warm messages saying "bravo" and "good idea".

I'm on the road, taking some family time, but when I get back, I'll post the details. And, I'm already thinking of doing this again. There are so many worthy causes, and what a good way to weave good feelings into your knitting.
