Creative Knitting is a nice approachable knitting magazine; their tagline is "Knits With a Timeless Twist." According to their website, they've been around since 1979, and were the first all-knitting magazine. Each issue of Creative Knitting is full of wearable, straightforward patterns, with skill levels ranging from beginner to expert. The style of the patterns tends towards classic and traditional, with a touch of current knitting and yarn trends.
Creative Knitting's newsstand price is about $6, with a very reasonable subscription rate of about $22 per year. You can also get the magazine digitally as an instant download. It comes out at least 6 times a year.
Creative Knitting is owned by DRG, an American craft publisher in Berne, Indiana.
Kara Gott Warner is the editor of Creative Knitting magazine. You can see Kara's knitting designs on Ravelry.
